Unveiling the new interpretation boards about the history of Hough End Hall.
Friends of Hough End Hall held a ceremony on Saturday 6th May 2019 to unveil the three new interpretation boards in Chorlton Park that outline the history of this Tudor mansion. Research was conducted by Andrew Simpson and Peter Topping who also designed the boards. Carolyn Kagan, Chair of the Friends outlined the history of the campaign to make the Hall a public resource and Andrew spoke on the history of the Hall, drawing on the book that he and Peter have produced. The ribbon was cut by Councillor Joanna Midgely.

The Friends of Hough End Hall, Chorlton-cum-Hardy are seeking to raise money to the tune of about £300,000 so that they can buy the Grade 2* listed Hough End Hall for the use of the South Manchester community.
In the film, Peter Topping, Carolyn Kagan and Andrew Simpson all talk about the hall, what it has been in the past and what it is hoped it will become in the future, as a place to meet, a place to eat, for art and education and as a social and recreational centre.
